Kale

Sold in 4-packs.

One of the easiest and healthiest fall crops to grow!  Plant each seedling 12-18” apart in the row, with rows 18” apart. These plants will get quite large!  Once planted, keep well-watered; do not let the tiny roots dry out!  Provide light shade if possible.  Fertilize weekly with a dilute mix of fish emulsion and liquid kelp (aka seaweed) to promote quick growth and healthy plants.  Will overwinter very well under winter protection such as a low-tunnel hoop house.  Too large for most cold frames.  Kale is a biennial, and you’ll be able to harvest from these plants well into 2021!
